Anita Turley
Board Director: Anita Turley
Born and raised in the Bay Area, and educated in various states, Anita always wanted to have a career in education. Her past employment and education has been geared toward educating adults in the Industrial Training, Safety, and Security field. Once retired and getting guardianship of her 2 wonderful granddaughters, she elected to volunteer at their school full time.
Luckily for Anita (and SWB!), during COVID, the Foster Grandparent Program for which she volunteers, introduced her to SWB via online. She fell in love with it! She saw the benefits of it and requested it to be implemented at her school.
Along with being a SWB Board member, Anita is also one of the founders and board members of the schools' nonprofit Parent Faculty Organization, a Red Cross Lay Responder Certified Instructor, and at her church, a Sunday School Teacher. It turns out that these are actually the educational fields Anita truly belongs and believes in.
