Help Desk

ADS Help Desk

The SWB Help Desk is where volunteers can go to get help regarding the Alternative Delivery System (ADS) during training and after placement. It consists of a team of SWB volunteers willing to assist other volunteers in becoming proficient with the ADS delivery system.

The goal of the SWB Help Desk is to assist our volunteers, resolving issues as quickly as possible, so they can continue moving forward in the course and assisting students in the online classroom.

To better help you, the team asks that you follow the steps below:

Step 1: Take a deep breath, remind yourself to be patient with the Help Desk personnel and yourself.

Step 2:  Send an email at anytime to info@sightwordbusters.org and our Help Desk volunteers will get back to you during our hours of operation (see below).

Step 3: Be sure to include 1) your name, 2) your phone number(s), and 3) your concern(s).

Hours of Operation:

Meet the Help Desk Volunteers:

We are proud and grateful to introduce our tech- savvy team of volunteers.

Jeri Greene: My name is Jerline Greene, aka Jeri. I am retired from a 40-year career in IT. After I retired I got bored and figured there must be something I could do to add value to my life. I have 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with whom I am very involved. I have enjoyed kids all my life including when I was a young teen. I have always been interested in education and especially curious regarding how educators teach a child before they are even 5. So, it seemed a perfect fit to join Foster Grandparents.org. I’m volunteering with Sight Word Busters now to assist volunteers with learning the new ADS process and to learn more about educating children.

Linda LoBue: I am the founder and Executive Director of Sight Word Busters. I am a retired educator with 45 years of experience in the field. I have been living in lovely Auburn, CA for twelve years. My technology training has all been informal - mainly YouTube and Steve Dotto at DottoTech.com. I am volunteering at the Help Desk because I helped create the program, I am patient, and I really want to support our volunteers on their journey to becoming successful in this online delivery system.

Lyra Gagliardi: I am the Executive Assistant at Sight Word Busters. I started as a SWB Volunteer at my daughters’ school in Rocklin in 2018. I love the one-on-one interaction with the students and it quickly became my favorite way to volunteer at the school. As we incorporate more ADS services, I am happy to help volunteers as they move through the ADS program. It is a unique opportunity that provides great benefits for everyone involved.
